Once a database is created and opened, the next step is to add your information. (The Labor, Equipment, Material, and Subcontractor databases have similar functions.) Selecting the Add Labor button will open the following window. Assign a code and description to add the new rate classification.



Importing from Excel


To access the file import routine in any database open the database and then select Import/Export dropdown > Import from Rate File and the import dialog box will appear as shown below.



Not all files may be the same. ProEstimate.NET allows you to line up your column to the correct import sequence. Just load a simple excel file into the importer and line up the columns to the correct corresponding dropdown on the left.
